Try new things Those who know me personally know I’m someone willing to take the occasional leap of faith — and sometimes fall flat on my face. Going to massage school was like that. (Thankfully, that’s one risk that has so far worked out beautifully.) Turns out, research supports the idea that experimentation can be really good for us. Humans are naturally curious, and our brains need novelty to learn and grow. Experts note that trying new activities, meeting new people, going new places, and other brave acts may help you:Improve memory, mood and motivationIncrease adaptability, making it easier to to acquire new skillsOvercome fears and discover new talentsFulfill your potential |
Let’s grow together As I mentioned in my February newsletter, one of my latest leaps is into craniosacral therapy (CST) training. I’m so excited to share what I’m learning with you, and see if this tool — specifically the intraoral jaw work for relieving face tension — can help with pain relief, stress reduction, and healing. For the month of March, I’m offering 45-minute introductory CST sessions for just $50. It’s an opportunity for both of us to try something new, and make our brains happy by experimenting with avenues of healing. |
