Moving forward & looking back
I’ve been looking forward to February for awhile because I knew I was going to for CranioSacral Therapy training in Bozeman.
But I didn’t know that February would also mean time to say goodbye to my oldest goat Daru — the namesake of Black Goat Farm. Many of you got to meet him when you came out for a massage, so it seemed appropriate to share the news here, and express appreciation for this gentle, special creature. Rest in Peace, Daru.
My trip to Bozeman last weekend was a great opportunity to reflect on these losses and transitions, restore my spirits in the hot springs, and learn even more about one of my favorite modalities — CranioSacral Therapy (CST).
In training, I delved more into the practice of Arcing, the unique way that CST assesses the energy flow and stuck points in the body. It’s a subtle, intuitive art and I was blown away at how powerfully I could connect to the person on the table and how accurate my intuitive assessments could be.
I also learned more about using CST to relieve intraoral tension. This technique, done with gloved hands, may help with issues like jaw tension or headaches.
